Najah’s special birthday parties for children: Najah—straight out of the genie's bottle—brings an interactive belly dance performance geared to appeal to a child's imagination & sensibilities. The children will be transported on a virtual magic carpet ride to an Arabian tent in a desert oasis with a performance both mesmerizing & amusing—at once hauntingly beautiful yet playful & accessible.

After Najah dances to the delight of the children & focusing special attention on the birthday girl or boy, children ages 6 & up will be treated to a mini-lesson in belly dance where they will have fun imitating the various dance movements that make belly dancing so unique & beautiful. Making sure they feel successful, Najah will help their fertile imaginations to soar & their interest in this dazzling art will be piqued.

Especially fun for the girls, Najah will provide child-sized veils for the children to whirl around & dance with, further bringing them into the fantasy & providing an outlet for their imagination & creativity.

Sparks half-time show, Staples Center; Venice Historical Society Annual "Haunted Halloween" Cemetery Tour, portraying early 20th century dancer "Madame Fatima"; Moun of Tunis Restaurant; Koutoubia Restaurant; Dar Maghreb Restaurant; Marrakesh Restaurant; Harbor Sheraton Showcase, San Pedro; and numerous performances at private parties & holiday celebrations, corporate events, outdoor festivals, art fairs, retirement homes/assisted living facilities, hospitals, teen group homes, etc.

Najah’s teachers include Fahtiem; Ansuya; Mésmera; Princess Farhana; Aisha Ali; Tamra-henna; Roxxanne, & other well-known dancers. Najah has experience as a go-go dancer & years of belly dance, ballet, jazz & flamenco training and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from the University of Wisconsin. In addition to numerous acting/dancing/singing appearances in musical theatre, she also has experience as the lead on-camera actor in several television commercials. Najah is a talented designer of bellydance costumes (degree in fashion design, FIDM), designing for herself & others. In 2005 and 2006, Najah also produced a monthly belly dance show at Masquers Cabaret in Los Angeles entitled "Najah Presents Serpentine Seraglio," featuring herself plus three different dancers each month.

Najah has honed her teaching skills over the past several years, teaching four to five classes weekly through the community services divisions of a number of local schools and colleges (L.A. Valley College, Beverly Hills Adult School, West L.A. College & L.A. Fitness). Her students have applauded her patience, enthusiasm and skill in breaking down a new movement, explaining it in different ways to accommodate the various ways that people learn, and accelerating their learning curve by coupling the new skills with complementary original choreography that is fun, innovative and exciting.
