We offer top quality sailing instruction and luxury yacht charters on the Chesapeake Bay, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Our experienced Captains are available for instruction, charters, deliveries and marine consulting.

Owner Operated

Andy and Lisa Batchelor are owners and directors of Sail Solomons. Long-time sailors and boat owners, Andy and Lisa relocated from the Washington metropolitan area to Solomons, MD in 2006, to open the new Solomons base of Let’sGoCruising.com - the Chesapeake Bay’s premier luxury sailing charter operator, headquartered in Annapolis. Fully immersed in the middle-bay sailing community, Andy and Lisa recognized the need for quality sailing and cruising instruction. Both US Coast Guard licensed Captains and American Sailing Association (ASA) certified instructors, they launched Sail Solomons in Spring 2007. The school has expanded to include Caribbean courses and a popular fractional sailing club.

Build Your Skills

Sail Solomons is an ASA-Affiliate sailing school -- we offer ASA certification courses, taught in a live-aboard environment to fully immerse you in the cruising experience. ASA certification is recognized internationally, so you can begin to charter the globe! We also have a full complement of tailored and private instruction, including marine systems and electronic navigation. Captain Andy Batchelor is recognized as ASA's Outstanding Instructor for 2007.

Yacht Charters

Luxury Yacht Charters are offered on the Chesapeake Bay, from both Solomons and Annapolis. Annapolis yachts are homeported with Let’sGoCruising.com, which boasts the Bay’s largest fleet of privately owned, new and late model monohulls and catamarans from 36’ to 54’, all available for bareboat or captained charters. We specialize in Jeanneau and Fontaine Pajot yachts – most are less than 3 years old, and many are brand new! Our yachts are top quality, meticulously maintained and equipped for performance, safety, comfort and fun!

Sail Solomons is home-ported at the fabulously-appointed Solomons Yachting Center, in beautiful and historic Solomons, Maryland. SYC features new floating piers, fuel and pump-out, pool, bar, ensuite restrooms, captain’s lounge with internet, marina-wide wifi, free bikes, laundry, marine store, grassy picnic areas, BBQs and friendly service. Walk or bike easily to Solomons attractions, shops and restaurants. A terrific destination in itself, Solomons is also your gateway to exceptional cruising opportunities on the Middle and Southern Bay.
