Movie Girl Makeup

Nancy Nester is a make-up artist who takes pride in her work. She is meticulous in detail from sweet romantic brides, special events, and centerfolds, to high fashion makeup. Born in Southern California, she picked up her first paint brush at the age of three and painted animals on her bedroom wall, which at first was blamed on her older brother. By the time she was fourteen, she began painting store front windows for the holidays. At 17 she began painting wall murals to earn extra money.

Not only does she have an appreciation for the arts, she has great people skills and a love for people. She worked as preschool teacher inspiring her students to be creative and have fun. Later while directing children’s theater, she discovered a new passion, makeup, and what a wonderful new canvas to work on, “people.”

Everyone gave here compliments on her makeup work and assumed she was a pro, which inspired to make a transition, of sorts, in her craft.

Then, one day while driving in valley, she was in a car accident and she used the money to attend a makeup school where she honed in on her skills. Being that she was one of the teachers favorites, she quickly began working with a photographer as well as a local film college which led to working as an independent contractor for places such as Showtime, numerous music videos, theater productions, Easy Rider magazine covers, fashion photographers and photographers shooting for Penthouse Pets and Playmates, actors headshots, celebrities and movie premieres.

Armed with a passion, friendliness, and a contagious laughter, she earns the respect and trust that the models and her clients have come to love and enjoy.
