Edward's experience in portraiture spans over 30 years. He has had the opportunity to study the works of the masters in museums worldwide. His studies have led him to the Louvre, in Paris, the Met in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago Museum, the High Museum in Atlanta, and the Heidelburg Castle in Germany.

His formal education includes an honors degree in fine art and a minor in education from the University of West Georgia. He also received the Ben Lucas Award for academic excellence.
