They specialize in historical folk music and provide a broad-based range of interpretation of folk culture to family-oriented audiences at Fairs, Festivals, Schools and a variety of media including TV & their Wednesday night radio broadcasts on AreaRadio. Melissa Arleth (Raggle Taggle Puppets) first started working at Renaissance Faires in 1999, as a member of the acting company at the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY. It was there she first began to develop her show, which was then called "Ragged Tales" and featured sock puppets. Since then she has learned quite a bit about puppet manipulation and construction, and has performed in several tours with the Madcap Puppet Theatre of Cincinnati. She has performed "Raggle Taggle Puppets" at faires and special events throughout the Northeast, most memorably at "Sideshows by the Seashore" in Coney Island, NY, where she really got in touch with her freaky roots. She also performs as a contact juggler, stiltwalker, and folk guitarist. Kent Courtney is a Guitarist and Singer, playing multiple recorders at once, plus harmonicas, button-box accordion, mandolin, banjo and a lot of other traditional instruments. Known mostly as an Irish musician, he does a big variety of folk and light rock. He's released nine CDs and sold about 30,000 units.
