Initially, my photography was of my daughter and other children. I developed what some call a "photojournalistic" style of photography. That is, nearly all my photos are candid shots. I rarely have people pose for shots. I find that I can capture more natural emotions and expressions when people are just being themselves, not posing for a picture. I try to sit back and let people do what comes naturally to them. Although it can be difficult to be unobtrusive when I'm carrying a large camera, eventually people get used to my presence whether I am shooting a wedding, party, or a "family portrait." I firmly believe that quantity is required to get quality when it comes to photography. At any event or portrait, I usually shoot thousands of photos in order to capture the feeling of that particular moment. The beauty of digital photography is that I can take as many photos as I want. I also have the creative freedom to experiment and try unorthodox techniques without worrying about wasting film. Ultimately, the process of computer manipulation and printing plays an equally important part in the quality of the final image. After the shoot, I literally spend days processing the images to achieve the closest match to my perception of the scene on the day of the shoot. The raw image from the camera does not always match what I saw through the lens. For your wedding day, we offer competitive packages which can include complete coverage of your wedding day with an average of 1500 to 2000 photos, a web site and CD-ROM for your proofs, custom Leather Craftsmen wedding albums and parent albums, and additional prints.
