Tangent Astrology and Tarot

Rene Aceves is a tarot card and astrology reader in Seattle. During the day he consults for a clientele of about 700 at Gargoyles Statuary in the University District. With over 22 years of professional experience, he is equally skilled at both types of divination.

Besides his private counseling practice, he makes himself available for private and corporate events and parties. Among the companies whose functions he has read for are Real Networks, Jones Soda, Seattle Weekly and the Starbucks graphic design department, to name a few. Both the Alibi Room (in the Pike Market) and Kaspar’s (in lower Queen Anne) have hired him for events they hosted.

As you may know, tarot and other forms of divination are a unique form of entertainment at gatherings. Novel though they may be for many people, he always has a long waiting list of partygoers curious to find out what the cards portend. What people pick up from even a brief ten minute reading is always interesting and pertinent. This makes for great conservation fodder.

Though he takes his craft seriously, he has an easygoing, conversational manner when doing the readings. Unlike some of the more "spiritual" readers out there, he doesn't mind people drinking, smoking and joking while working. He has been known to keep going non-stop for up to six hours.
