Al was reared in show business family. His grandfather worked for the legendary Howard Hughes and Cecil B. DeMille and his mother was part of the original "Our Gang" series and appeared in silent movies. His father was a radio engineer in Los Angeles, California.

"When I was young, I performed mostly in dramatic school productions," Lampkin said. "As I got older I started performing a magic act a neighborhood parties. One of my magic tricks was to vanish a rabbit. I didn't have my own rabbits, so I rented them for **c."

Lampkin has come a long way since his rabbit-renting days. He has now performed in ** countries on five continents in some of the world's most prestigious casinos and hotels, as well as on cruise ships, at fairs, and in concerts, schools and theaters.

He has shared the stage with countless super-stars including Johnny Cash, Joan Rivers, Jerry Van Dyke, Henny Youngman, Crystal Gayle, The Pointer Sisters, Charlie Pride, Reba McEntire and many others.

A twenty-five year veteran of television, Al has been seen on countless television shows including "The Rodney Dangerfield Comedy Special," "Columbo," "Amazing Stories," "Operation Runaway," Days of our Lives," "General Hospital," and numerous others including frequent guest appearances on such shows as "The Tonight Show," "The Mike Douglas Show" and many others.

He has appeared in over *** movies and television shows including a featured role in the full-length feature film "Ninja Academy on HBO and a starring role in the theatrical movie "Never Say Goodbye."

Al's fast-paced, high-energy, clean comedy act includes jokes,stories, magic, audience participation and lots and lots of laughs. He can do * to ** minutes and is always a hit with any crowd.
