Having a dress made just for you is a really enjoyable experience and can be more affordable than you might think. As this gown is designed and made for you, the individual bride, you will be happy with the design. You'll choose the fabric and detail, the fit will be perfect, the dress will be really comfortable, and you will truly have the dress of your dreams.

About me

I learned to sew at a very young age and have designed & made garments for others for many years. When the opportunity came to start my own business I decided to specialise in bridal wear, and took a number of advanced sewing courses in bridal wear techniques and corsetry.

I really enjoy working with brides to transform ideas into a wedding gown. It will look and feel wonderful to wear, fit perfectly, and be unique to the bride and her personal style.

Based in South West Edinburgh - easily accessible by bus, 10ins from Haymarket station free parking, I work at home where I have a large well equipped workroom/studio and a relaxed & private fitting room. Evening or weekend appointments are easily arranged and friends and family are always welcome to come along.

Designing

I like every bride to feel at ease and enjoy her involvement in deciding about the design and style of her dress, selecting fabric and details maybe about embroidery, beading or silk covered buttons!

Choosing to have a dress made gives the opportunity to have your own ideas included in the design.

I have samples of my dresses and many fabrics, including a selection of beautiful lace, catalogues and other design materials available and by the end of the first appointment a dress design will be underway. A preliminary sketch can be made along with suggestions for suitable fabrics and an idea of the costs involved.
