Sounds of a Royal Wedding

Imagine...

A Royal Wedding at the Palace; you are the Princess Bride, and your Groom is the handsome Prince. Your families and friends have all gathered in the Chapel, and there is an air of hushed anticipation as your Court Organist plays the concluding strains of his Prelude. A sudden flourish of trumpets signals your Prince's entrance at the altar! Then, a stately march from the organ ensues, to accompany your Bridesmaids down the aisle, one by one. Following them, the flower girl (your kid sister never looked this beautiful before !) spreads rose petals from her basket to adorn the aisle for your big walk. The next moment seems like an eternity, one that you wish could go on forever... the march is over, the silence is perfect.. the Court Trumpeters raise their heralds once more, and the fanfare that you chose for yourself rings forth, brilliant and clear! The crowd is instantly on its feet, the processional tune begins, and you take your first steps into the fantasy-come- true: Your Royal Wedding!

Soon, you and your Prince will be heralded back up the aisle to the triumphant sounds of trumpets and organ, and the big celebration will begin in the main reception hall. Don't forget to have your Court Trumpeters on hand here to provide the proper atmosphere with music of nobility. Handel, Telemann, Mouret, Purcell and a medley from "Camelot" will set the tone for your Royal Reception. Later, your Court Trumpeters will honor each couple in the wedding party with their own fanfare as they are introduced to your guests and take their places at the head table. And the final, most brilliant fanfare will be sounded for the Prince and Princess themselves! Let the Wedding Feast begin!

Does this scenario sound a bit farfetched to fit with your own wedding plans? On your way to walking the aisle, are you also walking the tightrope of a limited budget? Your wedding doesn't have to be at Buckingham Palace - or at Grace Cathedral - for you to enjoy the special majesty created by Gabriel's Trio of Heraldic Trumpets. In any setting, large or small, indoors or out, this heavenly Trio will provide the atmosphere of a Royal Wedding for you and your guests, without blowing a big hole in your budget.

Gabriel's Trio got its start by playing flourishes and carols at the Old English Christmas Feasts hosted each year by the San Francisco Boys Chorus at the Hotel Mark Hopkins. Their well-timed trumpet flourishes helped the Lord Mayor announce the dinner seating, as well as each course of the Feast as it was served. The Trio also played fanfare introductions to tunes that the Boys Chorus sang. In their early days, they wore tuxedos for events and soon moved up to full Renaissance Court costumes (donated by the San Francisco State University Costume Shop). Performing on the streets of San Francisco's Nob Hill, Christmas shoppers responded so well that they encouraged the trio to "go commercial", and the rest, as they say, is history. Gabriel's Trio has been featured - sometimes as four, six, eight, or as many as twelve herald trumpeters - at well-known events held at Gumps's, the San Francisco Opera and Ballet, Davies Symphony Hall, San Francisco International Film Festival, and many, many more.

Gabriel's Trio has developed a large repertoire of music to be performed at weddings with or without accompaniment. The Trio sounds great with organ, piano, harp or guitar accompaniment, and is versatile enough to match your creative inspiration, or fit your wedding budget, by engaging one or two Heraldic Trumpets to as many as six. The bright banners unfurled on the trumpets can be customized just for your occasion - making Gabriel's Trio your own special "Court Trumpeters·"!

JUST IMAGINE HOW ROYAL YOUR WEDDING COULD BE... WITH GABRIEL'S TRIO!
